It Applied To 9 Boats From The 2011 '29 Deck Boat' Ib Powered Boat Model Boats. The Boat Recalls Applied On 5/18/2011 And Was Closed On 12/17/2013 With The Following Comment: (1) 33cfr183.630(d) The Engine Compartment Natural Exhaust Ventilation Openings Are Of Insufficient Size For The Compartment Net Volume. The Gasoline Engine Compartment Has A Net Compartment Volume Of Approximately 79 Cubic Feet, Which Requires A Minimum Aggregate Of 13.8 Square Inches For Teh Cross-sectional Area Of The Natural Supply And 13.8 Squeare Inches For The Cross-sectional Area Of The Natural Exhaust Ventilation. The Two 19 Square Inch Natural Ventilation Supply Openings (for A Total Of 38 Square Inches) Are Adequate. One 3-inch Diamete Exhaust Opening Was Attached To The Powered Blower. The Cover Grating Over That Opening Reduced The Opening Area From 7/1 Square Inches To 4/8 Square Inches. It Was Notes That There Is An Additional 3 Inch Diameter Opening That Can Be Included In Natural Ventilation Exhaust If Connected To A Duct To The Lower Third Of The Compartment.
